NYC Criminal Court
If you are involved in a NYC Criminal Court matter, it is fairly certain you will feel overwhelmed. The New York Criminal Court oversees criminal cases of every variety; including violations, misdemeanors and felonies, which include DWI (drunk driving) cases, to matters pertaining to White collar crime, and even Sex Crime cases. The first contact you will have with the court is at the arraignment. The court will continue to handle all misdemeanor and violation cases to their conclusion. Please note that if you are dealing with a felony, the NYC Criminal Court will handle your case pre-indictment; after which it will be moved to the New York Supreme Court. If you been recently arrested, or perhaps have just received a Desk Appearance Ticket (DAT), you may find the following information helpful.
